The S-INFO – Sustainable Information project is approaching its final phase, and to celebrate the results achieved, we are organising a series of national events to close the S-INFO project. The events will take place in all partner countries: Malta, Romania, Belgium and Italy.
Each event will be dedicated to the presentation of the Manifesto for Sustainable Information, a political document that embodies the values, visions, and insights developed over two years of collaboration among journalists, activists, and civil society organisations.
The Manifesto is much more than a programmatic text: it is the outcome of a participatory and transnational process that brought together journalistic expertise and grassroots perspectives, creating a true European laboratory of reflection on the role of independent information in contemporary democracies.
Through debates, workshops, and collaborative discussions, we gathered contributions from around one hundred journalists, activists, and media professionals, who helped shape a shared vision of journalism as a common good—free from political and economic pressures, and capable of promoting pluralism, transparency, and social responsibility.
The final events will also be an opportunity to present all the results of the project: from the cross-border investigations produced in collaboration with journalists and NGOs, to the training and mentoring activities that fostered new networks of cooperation between independent media and civil society.
S-INFO has shown that only through free, inclusive, and sustainable journalism can we strengthen democracy and counter the rise of disinformation and toxic narratives.
Stay tuned to discover the dates of the national events and join us in this collective reflection on the future of information!
